Reply | 24 Dec 2007, 12:52:25   How to Influence Public Thinking Via the Caissa Misc. 'BB' ..For starters, influencing public thinking, is like playing the lottery, {which to my 'math-sense' credit, I haven't done in ages}, which will be out-of-the-question.. so long as one keeps their thoughts.. and/or, 'findings'-of-interest on the 'Web', to themselves{!} ..Whose to say that if one finds and posts an original thought of their own {'IBIJ' excepted..yuk-yuk}.. or, an out-of-the-ordinary, but otherwise, human-interest article {with No subject-matter limitations}.. that it might not cause those who initially read a given post, to.. through one means or another, bring a given 'BB' post to the attention of someone else{!?} ..Consider this as a form of 'chaos-theory' at work; where the only 'zero-sum' factors are financial renumeration, and defin- itively knowing that it was your particular post that started a chain of people {however long, or short} to start thinking in ways that they wouldn't have, were it not for your post! ..I'm reminded of the part-humorous parable of the three ways there are {among, many others} of dividing up people; ie., There are, 1. most of us, who merely Watch 'things' {events} happen around us.. day-by-day, 2. The few of us; as in the 'movers-and-shakers' and opinion-shapers, who often 'Make- Things-Happen', and finally, 3. The second most numerous among us, who are so involved in their in their own 'little', or at least, 'smaller worlds', that every once-in-a-while, a '9-11' earth-shaking event will occur, which will cause them to momentarily interrupt whatever they're doing, and exclaim, "What Happened?!" |
