Conflict is where it's at, thanks to the Miscellaneous Bulletine Board
In my opinion, society cannot exist with out conflict. There is no other way to level the playing field. All disagreements and misunderstandings (when settled with out violence) are settled by argument or debate. It has nothing to do with whose right or wrong, it has to do with agreeing on a point or reaching a consensus.

Being right or wrong isn't nearly as important, once you have had a chance to express your point of view. Once you have expressed your opinion you are willing to go along with other people's opinions. In other words you are willing to compromise.

A good argument will either strengthen your convictions or change them. (Although you would never admit it.)

My family always gets accused of arguing all the time. The neighbors think it is a negative trait. But from my point of view I think it is a family strength. I don't know of any members of my family that carry resentment or a grudge toward others. Everyone expresses their feelings or opinion and then live and let live.

In my opinion, "Society cannot live in peace without conflict."
