Glad tidings. Hell is not eternal. See how easy it is solve these little problems when you get an atheist on the job. Hell officially ends in March, when both gammaburst and ibij leave. Then there will be heaven on earth. That's another issue tidied up. I'm on a roll. But of course , can you trust a christian to be true to their word. Absolutely not. The proof will be in the date pie come March.

Trust isn't usually put on a group but individuals as when there is a group someone will fall through our expectation. That is why trusting in God is so wonderful for He never fells.

terminal, on a semi-beatup older car, which said:
"Alaska-or-Bust, Michigan Busted!"

LOL - not sure what that has to do with ministry, but hey another good joke. A joyful spirit keeps the soul healthy.

..I don't think it's just me {that believes this} but, We Are ALL 'ministers'{!}..
{if only in the form of examples} of one sort or another, including of one
quality or another; think of our long-ago school "grades' ; ie. A-B-C-D,
and who can forget the "E"s.. and their 'near-cousin, "F"s!
 
..Even the Apostle Paul made reference to each believer representing
a different part of the collective "Body-of-Christ," {ie. serving a
different if {hoped for} complimentary function}.. and by way of il-
lustration, {'Saint'} Paul commented on the ridiculousness of the
thought of one particular body-member, claiming to have no need of
another, different, body-member!
 
..I would imagine that Even the 'unsaved' have their collective-
'ministry' counterpart, since even their 'works'..{esp., when thought
of collectively} cannot help, but have an influence {for better, or..
if usually worse} in our world! ..The 'Dalai Lama' being one of
those less-often-seen, "unsaved" {in the conventional sense-of-
the-word} influences for 'good'.

Well yes, each of us do have our own talents for building the body of Christ. However what does a joke that does not have any reference to God or Christlikeness have to do with the fruits of the spirit or the talents that believers are blessed with? If I wasn't confused before I sure am now.

wasn't your 'average joke', but rather a "true story" {Yes, I once Was

constitutes "a ministry" is Too narrowly focused{!}.. as if, Only
a "minister" {maybe even, only an "ordained minister," for all I
know, in your own mind} can be thought of as having "a ministry"{!?}
 
..N-O-T!! ..The person that initially made me realize that this was
Not the case, was my 'middle' {in age, progression} brother..{I have
2 brothers}.. when I once related to him a TV interview I saw {many
years ago}, of 'the late' {I think} Bob Giaccone{sp?}.. the former
owner/editor-in-chief of "Penthouse" Magazine, {known by many of us,
as a 'porn' mag.}
.. when, in defending himself to the newswoman interviewing him, asserted,
"I am not a minister"; whereupon my 'middle' brother said: "You know, in
a way he is!" {ie. by promoting and representing the 'hedonist' lifestyle,
with many pics of unclothed young women}.. or "pornography," to many of us!
 
..Keep in mind, that just because one has a "ministry," {regardless, of the
job involved, or circumstances} does Not necessarily mean that it Has-
to-Have a positive-impact on society at-large; to cite, as an extreme
negative-example, a 'Satanic-church' "minister," or promotion-related
"ministry" of whatever nature{!}..{even your 'sideline'{?} 'health-food'
business-"ministry," if you will.
 
..Anyway, ever since then, I've been of the opinion of.. Who's to say
that even the most circumstantially-humble among us {ie. a 'bum' on
the street, asking for a quarter or quarters.. perhaps} are Not All
"ministers" in the broader, or even "broadest" sense of the term!;
and in-the-process, playing-out a specific role-in-life.. that usually,
unavoidably, interacts with others!
 
P.s.- In anticipating a possible posed question by you {'IBIJ'} Re.,
'What do I view as pornography?' {relating to an earlier reference}
the best answer I ever heard to that question, was by a former U.S.
Supreme Court justice, which was: "I know it, when I see it." {fini}

No, I'm not going to take the porn path of discussion.
 
What I am curious about is how something that has no relation in any way to anything biblical can be considered a ministry. Ministers don't have to be ordained, as all God's people should indeed have their own ministries. But shouldn't they in some way at least point an elusive line to God? I don't get how this bumper sticker provided any ministerial direction at all, and so far no one has been able to answer that question for me.
 
Oh well, such appears to be the case on the CAISSA MISC BB.

whoevever said that a ministry Has to be 'God related' {to paraphrase
you}.. except, by your Own assumption, of course!

{and apparently continues to}, go on in Your Own thought processes{?!}

{among others} gives as one of the multitude of secondary definitions for
"ministry," as: 9. something that serves as an agency, instrument, or means.

The English language is indeed confusing sometimes. You are correct, when thinking of a "ministry", I do automatically relate it to God since that is my own personal passion. There are indeed other ways to take that word, (aka the Muslim extremist chose death as ministry on 9/11). Though I dare say that you would not read that headline in any American made news.
