Gandhi on religion.....
Someone once asked M.Gandhi if he was a Hindu.
His reply was:
yes,I am a Hindu,I am also a Buddhist,A Christian,a follower of Islam,and
a Jew. (ok this may not be word for word correct but it is very close)
He also once said the words of Mohammad are for the world.
I am an athiest....
but if someone believes
it is nice when they would give other religions
their space as well...
at least that is my view.

Re: Gandhi on religion.....
I sincerly believe that there will be Hindu's, Buddist's, Mormon's, Catholic's, and even Adventist's in Heaven. God does not hold us responsible for what we do not know, and many people groups have not had the opportunity to read and study the Word of God. God holds us accountable for what we do with what we know, not what we don't do with what we do not know.

You may be accurate in what you believe sincerely, but I think that the Catholics, Adventists, and perhaps the Mormons, do not have a claim to ignorance of Christ. They have been exposed to the Gospel message in some form and they have to answer for that knowledge and what they have done with it. For the other religious groups, I say reread Romans 1:19-32 and consider the consequences. Children and those who are mentally diminished due to whatever reasons are the ones who fall under the heading of those who do not understand the consequences of rejecting Christ.

Hi Doorman

Sure seems to be the case as it relates to Jebus. I would never be so naively bold to put forth that which he has chosen to write.

Hi Jebus

YOU SAID:
You may be accurate in what you believe sincerely, but I think that the Catholics, Adventists, and perhaps the Mormons, do not have a claim to ignorance of Christ. They have been exposed to the Gospel message in some form and they have to answer for that knowledge and what they have done with it.

MY RESPONSE:
Just as main-line Pentecostels must do.

Try as you might you cannot deny that the 4th Commandment says "remember the Sabbath".

Try as you might you cannot provide evidance that Jesus did not keep the Sabbath and teach His followers to do the same.

Try as you might you cannot find one ounce of Scriptural support for worshipping on Sunday simply because that was the day of resurrection for Jesus.

Try as you might you cannot find the Word rapture anywhere throughout the entire Bible, which positions all the righteous for a future resurrection (not rapture) just as God's Word clearly says.

You are correct that all those given access to God's clear message will indeed be held accountable for what they did and did not chooe to do with it.

I widen the scope of salvation to all those that truly loved Jesus no matter where they may have been in "religiosity". You on the other hand appear to be narrowing the gap to a selected few from specific denominations or perhaps one denomination. Which denomiation does Scripture say will be in Heaven?

YOU SAID:
For the other religious groups, I say reread Romans 1:19-32 and consider the consequences.

MY RESPOSE:
I happen to be extremely tired right now, so this might lack tact. But who cares what you or I say? Shouldn't we be focusing on what Scripture says and pattern our lives after that? Not our Hebrew translation. Not our Greek translations. But God's clear Word.

YOU SAID:
Children and those who are mentally diminished due to whatever reasons are the ones who fall under the heading of those who do not understand the consequences of rejecting Christ.

MY RESPONSE:
What about a handicapped person within the Adventist or Catholic denominations? Largely, I agree with you on this specific point.
