I absolutely think so, I was diagnosed schizophrenic and with Disassociative Disorder about 2 years ago, and it helped to explain a lot of the "quirks" in my behavior. Along with being madly Obsessive Compulsive and unfortunately delusional with frequently recurring hallucinations, I also enjoyed(and still do) cooking, my outlet for my own personal culinary creations. I would dig through my cupboards and pantry trying to find something unique and different I could put together just to see if it would be good. I am not an arrogant person, but would say that I am probably one of the best cooks you would ever see and I attribute it almost entirely to my creativity that I am sure was as said nurtured by my schizophrenia.
