..Miss Winkler: "Okay class, can anyone tell me any historical
event that happened on today's date of September, 1st?"
{no one raised their hand}..Miss Winkler: "Billy, what do you
think happened on today's date?" ..."Billy?": "duh, I don't know."
 
..Miss Winkler: "Think, Billy, think; I'll even accept an educated
guess." {Billy squirms in his seat}..Miss Winkler: Okay, Billy, can
you come up with Anything?!"..Billy: "Umm, um, ah...Wouldn't that
have been ten days before the nine-one-one attack, except that no
one knew it was coming?" Miss Winkler: "B-I-L-L-Y!!"

I still have the picture(s) cropped from either Newsweek or Times of people jumping off the windows from the highest stories of the towers. Yes no one knew it was coming, but it was definitely a wake up call! I am so glad we have not had another 9/11 for six years.
