Understand that every religion on earth is man-made and not god-made. I can't trust the PEOPLE around me now so how could I possibly trust the PEOPLE who created all of the various religions?

long ago, "Great Flood."

that this "flood" was probably "localized" in its nature {though still

plains the seeming contradiction Re. not encompassing the whole

{by man} world."

issues, including those who are 'hung-up' about the "Six days of Cre-
ation."
..Suffice it to say that the inquiring human mind will Always have ques-
tions regarding God's methods or 'Ways' in any number of realms; but
it was never intended by God to have all of our questions {or even,
'most-of-them'} answered, before we can have a personal 'walk'
{knowledge} with/of Him; simply because.. God/JC operates primarily
by Faith, vis-a-vis His 'children.'
 
..Ps. I'll leave to 'IBIJ' or "JEBUS," to answer any skeptics who might
next logically ask: "Why would a 'just God' order or permit, so many
{seemingly} innocent lives taken {ie. women and children, primarily}
in the Old Testament?".. since, my own 'off-the-cuff' answer, I sus-
pect, would be perceived as a rather inadequate response. {fini}

Since the question of why some suffer more than others has not been approached, I'll hold off on that answer.
 
However, Gamma has already done an excellent job of responding to this inquiry minus the fact that sea shells down by the sea shore are in the CASCADE mountain range! Yes, it was a localized flood. That location was indeed planet Earth. But putting our planet in scope of the entire Universe it would be a pretty small flood.
 
If you have read most any post that I have made you will see time and again, don't believe man read God's Holy Word for yourself and believe that. Whatever the case, I know there is a prompting within that each one of us (including you) fight against when rejecting God. True, that prompting gets harder to hear as we choose to harden our hearts. I've used more than enough Sciptures in my other posts to point the way to the cross all that's left to say here is...
 
Jesus really does love you and wants you to be ready to go home to Heaven with Him when He returns.
 
What you do with that sentence and your relationship with Jesus Christ is up to you. Life is certainly no bed of roses, but their is indeed power in the blood for all who choose to claim it for themselves.

Believing that heaven is out there when you die is a 'cop out'. Doesn't Nietzche begin with the premise, 'what if there is no god nor heaven', and follows the consequences to its logical conclusion. Better start living life. Now. It means you take responsibility now, take charge of your life and kick ass now. 'Get your house in order' NOW. I know i'm rising up the ranks; just got promoted (celebrated with Mumm's champagne. Hell, you only live once, right? That is some seriously expensive stuff. You guys can have that in 'heaven'...riiight), just got married, and better believe it's going to work in this life. I'll have a house in a few years, taking care of my parents, and i'm generally kicking ass in a monster city where 'spreads, taxes, and fees' destroy most lives. Lesson learned for me. And you're still trying to 'prove' your bible case? LOL. I don't even care if there is a god or a heaven I've learned this lesson so much. The idea of God is a crutch. When you can throw it away, no impact. ZERO impact if you're living responsibly.
 
Anyhow, nice to see familiar faces here still, nothing personal. Hope IBIJ and gamma are doing well, you make good sparring partners P. ProPorn still cuts past the chase, which is good. I think I'd pass your 'christianity' test of character, but definitely for the wrong reasons. I'm generally nice because it makes sense to be so. :P
