The World's Best Optical Illusion, .. Att., 'IBIJ' and "JEBUS"
..Since I'm under the impression that 'IBIJ' and "JEBUS," both
like opportunities to hone their skill at 'defending-the-Faith',
I was curious as to how Both of these gentlemen {and even
other "believers" who would like to put in 'their 2-cents-
worth'} would reply to this video-message's assertion{?!}

..I'm not trying to put anyone 'on-the-spot' {despite, any ap-
pearence to the contrary}..and for once.. I suspect in advance,
that Both of their answers {counter-arguments} will probably
be better than most answers that I could come up with{!}...
Simply because, to each their own abilities{!}..meant as a
compliment! { :

Re: The World's Best Optical Illusion, .. Att., 'IBIJ' and "JEBUS"
Speaking of illusions, the person who created that video illustrating his point against the power of prayer by comparing God with a jug of milk must be dealing from a real short deck.

In the real world there is a natural order of things, there are the laws of nature, the laws of cause and effect, the moral laws of God and many other laws that control our lives. Everyone knows that in this life of ours we have to ask to receive. The definition of prayer is asking, an earnest request, a petition etc. It is common knowledge we have to ask to receive, we have to knock for the door to open, we have to seek to find.

If we need a loan to buy a house, we ask a banker. The banker can say yes, no or wait. We call the doctor and ask for an appointment, he says yes, no, or wait. We ask our wife for sex, she answers yes, no, or wait. These answers are not unique in this world of ours. I have heard it many times, but I have never heard it from a jug of milk.

When ever we need something in this life we have to ask someone who has the power to give it to us. If we want a loan we ask a banker, if our car won't start we ask a mechanic, if we are sick we ask a doctor, if we want a miracle we ask God. They all have the power to say yes, no, or wait. Except a jug of milk, all it has the power to do is hold a gallon of mild or be used as an illogical illustration.

Re: The World's Best Optical Illusion, .. Att., 'IBIJ' and "JEBUS"
Funny how we are silent for a time and so you find strange things to get us talking. But then when we get talking you refuse to answer because you don't want to dialog about such things. What exactly do you believe Gamma? If you support that video you just threw God out of even being created let alone creation itself.

Chew on these...

1 Corinthians 3:19
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness"

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:21
For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 1:25
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

Re: The World's Best Optical Illusion, .. Att., 'IBIJ' and "JEBUS"
..To, 'IBIJ'- The Bible says, that in All things we should give
thanks to God..{to paraphrase}..plus, "All things work together
for good, to those who love God"{!}

..Anyway, without {me} intending to, it looks like there's been a
convergence in your case {IBIJ} of you probably having had a "Bad"
last 2{?} or more days in the life you lead; and aside from you
being 'off-the-mark' in where you Think 'I'm coming from', I sup-
pose that I should consider myself privileged {in a weird sort of
way} that you're using myself as a type of personal-frustation-buffer,
rather than, let's say, an immediate member of your own family!

..Thankfully, I don't have to explain myself {nor does most Anyone
in their 'right mind'!} to You; and considering how narrow some of
Your Own views/beliefs are, I suspect that it's people like yourself,
who give the word "broadminded" or "broadmindedness," by
comparision, a recurring 'Good Name'!!

..There's probably also the "Venus-Mars" phenomena-disconnect in
communication, that's in operation here; which you probably have al-
ready noticed, is a factor {of one degree or another} in you getting
along with other Non-Sabbath observing believers; if perhaps.. Lord
forbid, you happen to make it an important component of your social
interactions{!?}
{Ps. I know that you could not conceive {in your wildest imagination}
as serving as a sort of catalyst for bringing forth opposing views,
that to your mind, is apparently tantamount to promoting those 'pagan'-
to arguably, 'semi-pagan' ideas; whereas, to my own mind, it serves
as a {hoped for} virtual-springboard for debate {by others} on topics
that all too often, in recent and not-so-recent times, the conduct of
the great majority of Caissa members here, vis-a-vis this signifigantly
underused Miscellaneous Bulletin Board, isn't all that different than
serving the role of a figurative "bump-on-a-log"!}

..Pps- With my apologies to all those Caissa members {who I just in-
sulted} who for several conceivable {to myself} legitimate reasons,
with "time" being the 'biggie'.. choose Not to post, or if they do, it's
with varying degrees of infrequency!

Re: The World's Best Optical Illusion, .. Att., 'IBIJ' and "JEBUS"
YOU SAID:
..To, 'IBIJ'- The Bible says, that in All things we should give
thanks to God..{to paraphrase}..plus, "All things work together
for good, to those who love God"{!}

MY RESPONSE:
Unlike how most people choose to live when I hear something is written in the Word I go in search of what is written. In this case I didn't find anything with those Words from within an NIV version of God's Holy Word. I suppose that doesn't matter to some, but it sure does to me.

Your thoughts lead one to think that whatever they do will work together for good no matter what the norm of the situation might be. If you murder your mother there is no way it will ever be seen as a good thing even if she be a stoned drunk bumbette.

The verse I did find was...

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

What this verse implies is that those who follow God will be blessed by God. If you can show me how a gallon of milk can show love or committment to God, then I'll conceed to your point.

And, oh by the way. I have many non-Adventists friends. Thanks

I do not believe that a response is needful at this point in time. It would appear this issue has already been responded to. I shall continue to enjoy my vacation...
