Hey, I just came up with a wonderful idea.
 
Since the admin here wants to release a not for prime time site to the world, that would make us the beta group whether we like it or not. Let's all agree to stay and be testers for Caissa. Since we are offering a service our memberships will be free until such a time as they "get it right".
 
Hey, if they would be willing to do that I would too. I'll even agree to pay a higher price once the site is truly fully functional. Seems like a good idea to me, but why do I bet this will get as far as a concrete cloud would?

I have to say I am considering not renewing my membership which expires in a few weeks. It is pathetic how few people are available for live games on either the old or new sites.
 
Sad, too....been a member for donkeys' years (has Caissa been around ten years?). Don't see any of the players I used to play regularly.
 
I'm willing to stay and even renew my membership, but the Admins better get on the ball and send out emails to all existing/previous members. Perhaps a 3-month free membership renewal/extension would entice more members to stick around. They are working on the features and problems. I saw a four-day turnaround on a suggested improvement which isn't bad.
 
Still playing 4-1 old site vs. new because can rarely find anyone to play on the new site.

We can only hope that the powers that be will get a clue on what is really going on.

Give it time folks, players will migrate from the classic to here eventually. I guess the more "mature" "we" get, the less "we" want to change?

At the risk of being a jerk. I don't understand what is going on here. I have been playing on both sites, live and correspondence ever since the get go.

No problem with the interface. Big problem with the lack of correspondence tourneys, the main reason I played here. Doesn't look good with the membership about to expire...

Well if we can beetch on this BB I guess we can play here too?

a new interface trial again today. Part of my problem is being a Mac
 
person but others (being PC people ) have had problems.
 
Maybe....... just maybe, the programmers are fixing some of the bugs.

I just checked the active games: everyone seemed to be playing the
 
computer. What's up with that? cwm

I have been trying to play a live game every time some one challenges me. I have been getting two or three a day, but today my computer started freezing up. I couldn't finesh a game. I don't know if it was my computer or the site. It is working fine now.
 
I had four or five correspondence games going but all but one guy didn't move and forfieted. I have two on the burner now but they havn't moved for days.

I guess I will hang around till this thing eather take off or goes down the tube.
 
So far I have only played the computer once.

I'm here trying it out again. So far ....... can not watch a game. It will not load.
 
I'll do a bug report..... remember I'm a Mac guy and thus have more problems ( it's worth it!)

..What we're witnessing here must be a 'cousin' of "Murphy's
Law," which is: Those who have the 'big-bucks' to make a
Website work, sometimes don't have some of 'What-it-Takes'..
And those who appear to have ALL OF 'What-it-Takes'.. often
lack the money and/or financing.
 
..If it's any consolation, there are far more serious dysfunc-
tional problems in today's world; ie. our Iraq policy, our
pourous southern border, etc. etc.
