Caissa Sucks
A long time member is tired of their crap. After 20 years of membership I have left this miserable site because they have completely refused to address any of my questions or concerns.

Come join us at gameknot.com where there is great competition and a admin staff that actually pays attention to the concerns of the members.

Signing off after 20 years.

Re: Caissa Sucks
The new non-Java interface gave me hope for a better Caissa, but that hope is fading. My renewal comes up soon....also after 20 years of being a member. Is Caissa on its death bed?

Without recapitulating, the rather modest 'math' assumptions, I came up with.. in deducing 'Caissa's likely {near term} demise, {which unfortunately became lost, due to a 'glitch'- What else!?}; Suffice it to say- that like 'the late great' Mark Twain's, semi-famous quote; There Is an analogy here! {see below} -

'The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.'

Re: Caissa Sucks
Wonderfully irrelevant literary reference. I did not say Caissa was dead, I asked it was on its death bed, similar to being on life support. It now takes several days to get a new tourney filled, the number of online players that are actually humans is usually less than 20 and the “admins” for the site are unresponsive. The site limps along on the membership fees of loyal members who I think are unrealistically optimistic. I consider myself one of those members. I suspect it only takes a handful of member’s annual fees to cover the cost of running what has become a low volume site. I’m sure Mediawest can keep Caissa connected to life support as long as the bottom line doesn’t turn red, but that doesn’t make it a viable site. After 18 years of membership I have looked at gameknot.com and am impressed with what I can get for $10 more/year in membership fees. I will sadly transfer my dollars there when my membership expires here in June.
