I played black with rating about 1655 and my opponent as white had about 1850 .I won but I LOST ratings.It has happened many times. How Come??????????

Were your opponents, or even you, 'provisionally' rated? .. Odd rating fluctuations, can happen..{for a reason, I presume}, when that's the case.
 
If not; The the important thing, is to Not be discouraged; And recognize, that, in any area-of-Life: 'S__ happens.' Including, my own virtual handicap; Of games lost, to due my unexplained, and twice daily; ISP, interruptions-of-service!?
