Any members deal with weird clock issues?
I notice some players come up extra seconds at the end of games like they stored them up or something. They look like they are going to run out of time then come up with some "magic" seven or eight seconds and end up beating me on time. Some guys rankings are high too but they play like junk so its seeming to me they just win on time games. I asked the admin about it...they asked for me to provide an example game...I did...then they blew me off. Really pays to be an "elite" member on here.

Is it just me or does this happen??

It is a well known issue.I don't have any idea how it is done but there are certain players who know how to make the clock move backwards

Re: Any members deal with weird clock issues?
.. This might better come under the.. "It Happened Again"; Thus far, multiple posting, in vain; Where within the last 25 minutes, of this post; Under my posting, 'MM' handle; I was the 'on-screen' acknowledged 'winner' on time forfeiture, in my 'M/10' game; Versus non-member, "Iyyam." Yet, when I checked the "Results" page; He had 'won' our game!?

.. The fact that "Iyyam" is listed as being from 'India'; May or may not, have something to do with it!? .. Anyway, I don't plan on playing him/her again; And possibly, I'll avoid ALL players, who presumably might be playing, from literally.. 'halfway-around-the-world'! ---

It is wrong to exclude players because of their nationality or location on the globe.

Its even more wrong to get ripped off in games and not know why. Especially since the admin leaves it to us to draw our own conclusions. If we deceide not to play people halfway around the globe its our right.

.. Anyone considering playing, "RockyTheRock" {from Puerto Rico}, at a 'g2' time-control..{his favorite, & apparently Only 't/c' in which he 'competes'}; Please take note {as I did, within the hour}; That his 2 minute {online} 'clock,' gains, 4-to-5 seconds, on his 'every other' move!

Re: Any members deal with weird clock issues?
.. I know that I'm "tilting-at-windmills" here {as in; Nothing can be done about it.. regardless, of its 'aggravation' factor}; But, I just lost a game by 'time forfet' {under another handle}, because my local 'ISP,' regularly loses its connection, with the 'Web,' about twice a day now, on average; It used to be, once a day; And before that..{2 years ago, minimum}, hardly ever!

This 'aint' no 'localized' phenomena, either; At least, Not based on what I read {online}, about 8 mos. ago; Namely; As more & more people, use the Internet, {including, endulging in 'heavy' bandwidth usage, {ie. 'YouTube' etc.}, It will only be a rather shortened 'time-frame' {to paraphrase, this item I read}; 'Before the Internet, becomes an increasingly unreliable, and expensive toy.'

In a 'perfect world'; The 'Web' providers, would have relatively easy access, for loan$; To allow their infrastructure to 'keep pace' with their more-or-less, 'booming' demand; But as you may've heard; Banks are acting rather 'tight-fisted' these days! ... And to add 'insult-to-injury'; They largely brought it on themselves, {plus the politicians}; Based on their perceived 'Need-for-Greed'; But, I digress. -- --

The fact that this has been going on for years and nothing has been done speaks volumes. They get your money and then they couldn't give a damn...
