happens to me all the time also.Playing sailor last night he stops moving and I end up losing.I'm not sure its because the other player disconnects but I have literally lost a 100 games on this site over the tears with these glitches

The thing is nobody really cares on this site, they don't try to fix things and the last important update was a few months ago.

Re: ********* It happened again ************
I have raised the question if it is possible to manipulate the system in order to cause a 'loss' or 'win'. The answer I have received is No. It is not possible for a person to "control" an opponents machine through the caissa site. It might just be a fluke that we have to live with.

As for the cheating, well, there is no way to stop a person from using a program to aid in moves. I have noticed that a site called chess.net has a method of warning a person when the opponent is changing screens on their machine. i.e. I am playing chess on one screen and reading mail on another. Each time I switch screens a little light flashes that says "warning". The site sucks but this feature is rather neat. Many years ago I offered this info as a point of interest as I am doing now.

.. This site, is mainly only 'good' {though not perfect}, for 'bragging rights.' That, and the occassional 'book prize'..{that comes with a fair amount of annonymity, with it; For 'excelling'}.

No use 'fooling ourselves' though; That I, {or most others}, would prefer, games regularly be played, with our own, {plus others} 'money-on-the-line.' N-O-T! ..{I'll excuse the top 2% of all players though, for fantasizing about that!}

As long as this 'Web' site, is not immune from "Murphy's Law".. {like just about everything else in this world}; Always half-anticipating, somewhat less, than is 'delivered'; Will go a long way, in counteracting, your own disappointment; Be it, computer 'glitches,' or 'fickle' {often 'at best'}, people!

Ps. to 'Admin': Please, don't just continue to 'rest on your laurels'; DO SOMETHING!! ----

Raptor where did you get that imformation from, not against you but that's not right, something they are doing that is causing that, explain time added on. moving after the clock is 0000, moving strong to,or when your opponent going to get mated and then no movement then there clock expire, your clock be showing you still have time, maybe 8 to 10 min or whatever, but result's show you lose on time, people hack computer system's all the time bigger than this. but i am with you on this it happen's all the time, except corr game's, but all live game's

Re: ********* It happened again ************
The problems I normally have are:

1.After a while being on I see someone to play a g2 or fast game and try to click it without sucsess, so I have to reload and hope the opponent is still on.

2.Playing Corr and choosing ANALYZE sometimes I have to reload because when I click it doesn't work...

3.When playing fast games (g2 normally) big LAGS...make it very different thai it should be. The extreme lag problem is wht you guys have been reporting or commenting. I should say i have lost LOTS of games waiting the lag to finsh and keep moving or realize waitng time is OVER and then I KNOW I lost...to be honest I've won 2 or 3 on the other side: waiting and realize I won...

I guess I do not have hopes they will be fixed and kind of accepting them as normal. However now I have worked very hard to have a good rating I will hate to lose this way....

Take a look at my game with JH108.He moved I heard a doubleclick and it was my move but his clock was ticking.I knew that was big trouble for me so I disconnected logged back on and somehow was down a queen and a rook.Yet if you replay the game it doesn't show that.Bizarre.I don't know if JH did that on purpose or not. When he got down to a few seconds his clock started the old going backward routine

Yes!

That double click sounds like a double move from the opponent!..LOL...really: I was playing a 30/15 a few months ago and suddenly he moved TWICE...lol...i was so mad..But when he didn't move I realized Caissa assigned the win for me. I've seen it has happened to other reading previous complaints.

I think is in the site DNA....that's why no much is done....the only filter you can do about that is play less and less....sad thing after all.

Re: ********* It happened again ************
I actually think he got 3 moves plus it screwed up my clock so that I thought his clock was ticking but in reality it was mine.I was up a piece and a minute on the clock in the actual game, after this doubleclick crap I was down a queen and a rook and down about 45 seconds on time.

Neat trick pisses me the hell off.Messaged the SOB neat trick cheatin bast@rd no response. So maybe it was just Caissa and not him still he is on my no play list

Re: ********* It happened again ************
The next time this happens to someone, why don't they start a new thread, calling it "Watchlist" or something similar and name the culprit. Then, when it happens to others, they can add other names to the list. Then the rest of us will know who to avoid. If someone reckons they've been unfairly named, they can post a response.

My initial mistake .. {oh heck; This all 'sounds' like one of those 'pg'-rated, 'Twitter' posts; Enough!... missive, to myself}.

I think is a good idea...is not a witch hunt since it has a possibility of redeem and is only a suspicious list. You do what you want with it...u avoid him/her or you play him/her.

Re: ********* It happened again ************
It's actually an admin issue, believe it or not. The site has been very flaky with the game interface - and those of you having this issue are being briefly disconnected from the interface. When that happens, everything goes dead (even though you think you're connected and waiting), your opponent can show as connected or disconnected, but it doesn't matter - you forfeit the game on even the briefest disconnection - and you don't even know it happened.

This happens to me roughly 5-10 times a week.

Re: ********* It happened again ************
Thx for the explanation Chessplayer ...makes a lot of sense

In fact it happened today playing to NoSkill...I lost the first game althought I was clearly winning...I was lucky he kept playing until I recover all my points lost ...several times...hehe.

Is there anything you could for avoid the loss if you are unlucky to experience that in a fast game?
