Reply | 9 Nov 2008, 19:02:35   A Specific 'Guest' Player, Abuses His Playing Privileges .. I'm beginning to lose count of the number of times, I've first, initiated playing against this player..{"LevCleveland"}; Followed by him initiating being 'paired' against myself; But, in any event; He Never makes a first move!? Perhaps others have had this same problem{!?}; Which is probably Not a 'technical' glitch; As opposed to his own, likely peculiar, misanthropic, online behavior! Perhaps something can be 'done' about him; Unless.. of course, until he starts playing under another 'guest' handle! .. |

I assumed that he had some emergency until I saw your note. I did not particularly enjoy waiting 15 minutes though....it was a 30/15 game. |

Reply | 21 Nov 2008, 15:50:37   Re: A Specific 'Guest' Player, Abuses His Playing Privileges I have played Open Days. from Montana, many times and the lag time goes from 6 to as much as 25. I don't know what lag time is but it is annoying. Open Days is a good player and he will whip you ! I know. His connection, with me, or whatever is slow slow and slow, but don't write this one off as one of our many many problem 'guests'. I have never had any problem with LevCleveland except that I can't win the game. That guy will whip me every time. He has my number for sure. LOL Edited on 21 Nov 2008 at 15:58:27 |

In my first few encounters he would just stop moving when I had a winning position. More recently he's figured out how to screw up the move count by starting a game over (or something). BRIAN -- please take a look. Game ID LCH1229031903010953000800 If you look at the last three moves you see that he somehow managed to take two moves in a row. I really wish something could be done to ban this guy, limit who he can play, anything... |

Although I don't remember exactly how it was done, I believe it had something to do with hitting the 'Back' button on your browser and entering a second move. pazuzu |

Reply | 11 Dec 2008, 23:38:36 In reply to pazuzu Re: A Specific 'Guest' Player, Abuses His Playing Privileges I tried it out with AgentSmith, and even though I gave AS the extra move, it seems that if you right click the bar at the top of the game board window, click on reload, right click on top of window and click on back before the board reloads causes the error. Perhaps if caissa disabled the 'Back' option it might help solve the problem. (edit) It happens at move 11-12. We don't need more "Guests" thinking: Oooo, I gotta try that. Seriously, Brian, you could get people who have subscribed for many years more involved with helping make this a better site if we didn't have to point out problems on a public forum. And, BTW, it took a good while to win me over, but, yes, this is better than the "Classic Caissa." There's still a few things we had there I'd like to see here, but still, WELL DONE! |

Reply | 18 Dec 2008, 02:11:03 In reply to JimWa Re: A Specific 'Guest' Player, Abuses His Playing Privileges I just played a game against KOREN and he moved his knight and bishop both at the same time? I immediately questioned him about it, but he would NOT ANSWER. This move was at a crucial point and resulted in a win for him. that was when I noticed this post. As to LevCleveland. I notice that he only wants to play players with low ratings. if you look at his history, his average opponent has a rating in the low 1100's. When my score was low he would challenge me 2x a night, but once my rating went up he quit challenging?? |
