Hi, Adminbrian, I just joined your little group, and not knowledgable about computers either. I watched your tutorials and thought, for starters, I'd play your computer. I played Caissa to a draw by repetition of moves. I thought the draw would be automatic, but she OFFERED me a draw. I jumped all over the screen trying to see how to accept it, lost the picture of the screen, pushed every button, hit every tab, and now am charged with two LOSSES (one in zero moves!)
No matter, we weren't playing for money.
No response needed, but maybe you can see whether or not there is an "Accept draw" button easily visible for newbies.

Welcome Leftcoaster. There should have been a button that says "Accept Draw" to the right of the board. A screenshot is below. If you do not see this, let us know what type of Operating system you are using and the web browser version and type and we will try to test with that.

Same problem here. First game ever on Caissa. Interface is nice. Everything seems fine. Played an okay game vs Caissa and ended up in a draw by repetition. Tried offering a draw. Nothing. Noticed Caissa was offering a draw to me....but how to accept? No big red buttons on my board. I'm writing this as my clock runs out. Tried the video tutorials and then came here. I'm using Firefox, Java enabled.
 
I'll try to play another game or two, but this is a frustrating way to start playing chess on this server. Just thought you should be aware that you're driving away potential customers. Cheers.

Quick update: played several games, enjoyed the interface and the games themselves very much. Furthermore, I played a second game against Caissa, again ended up in a draw by rep, and this time the big red button *did* appear. Odd. Anyway, congratulations on a nice chess server; I'll likely be back in the future. Cheers.
