I know it's provisioanl, but I dropped 62 points after a win. Huh????
 

As strange as it may be, I've had it happen six or seven times on the old caissa site, over the years. In an attempt to get an explaination, I never received a response.

During the provisional period it is completely normal for your rating to change like this. This is because during the provisional period your rating is being adjusted more to the average rating level of the site as a whole, rather than in a normal game where your rating is adjusted relative to your opponent's rating only.

Let's say you play 2 2500 rated players in your last 2 games and you beat them, you will be probably the strongest player on this site, rating wise.
