Proposed Scoring Change, to 'g/2'
.. There seems to be considerable discontent, among 'g/2' players, who lose on short time-differentials, against their minimally faster playing opponents, in otherwise drawn positions; where games fairly often end up, with one player running out his opponents clock, with usually meaningless, {though sometimes, otherwise Losing!}, moves.

.. To reduce the impact of this time 'trick,' {in boxing, it's called, "rope-a-doping"}, vis-a-vis their opponent; I propose scoring All 'g/2' games, as automatic "draws"; whenever either player has 11 seconds or less, remaining on their clock.

.. I chose 11 'secs' as the cutoff point, since it represents just under 10% of each player's 'think' time. {comments, are welcome!}..

How about adding a "fischer" type clock that gives additional seconds ......

Re: Proposed Scoring Change, to 'g/2'
Correction, to a 'typo' error-in-reasoning, when I wrote: I propose scoring All 'g/2' games, as automatic "draws"; whenever either player has 11 seconds or less, remaining on their clock.

.. I'm not sure, how the "either player .........," got past me; but, on closer inspection; it would be patently unfair to the player that has More than 11 'secs' remaining on their clock{!}

.. Plus, I'm not sure why, no one else had yet 'caught' and posted this, represents{!?} ..Oh, well.

Yes, the original suggestion is not possible. I think you are referring to a situation where a player with insufficient mating material wins by forfeit. By rule the game should be scored as a draw. Any problems with this on the new Caissa will be fixed soon.

You can already do this by using the Live Game Challenge to configure a Custom Time Control using increments.

I think anybody who plays a 2 min game,without altering the time controls,Gets what they deserve,or takes. A 2min game is just that,2mins.
Ive heard this argument before.If you can't win in 2 min,then you lose .Thats why i like to play it.

yeah, I agree.

remember, the player that is ahead by time, may have had more material on the board had he taken his time.

time=material

i agree, no need to tinker with a perfectly good game, if you want something different create a custom game.
