Reply | 16 Oct 2007, 04:36:31   Absence of Custom Opening Feature on 'New Caissa ' ..Up til now, I've must've been fixated on the non-existent green and cream colored board 'non-option' for playing 'live'- games, on the new Caissa. ..Apparently, that feature-option is now available to corres- pondence players.. but, Not to 'live-game' players, for un- known {to me} reasons{!} ..The other question, that I, along with others have over- looked, is..{so far as I know} the inability {at present} for 'live'-game players to customize the specific-opening that "Caissa" will play against them on your "New" Caissa's Web. ..I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but, would this be another example of 'creating a new program takes {lots of} time', when done 'in-house', by non-computer-program trained, personnel? {"ouch"!} |

We plan to add this to the new Caissa, in addition to the option of choosing from a list of named openings. So for example you can play Caissa and specify the name of the opening or opening code. So the bottom line is yes, you will be able to do this on the new Caissa, and there will be additional functionality above and beyond that. No completion date yet, although live games are next on the development list and will probably include these updates.
