Never-ending tournaments
Look at Chess960 tour C1. All games are over, except for the one between SunTzuu and mantaspirit.

But this is because those two put themselves down and then both failed to turn up to play. SunTzuu is white and hasn't moved, but mantaspirit also hasn't appeared to claim the game by time forfeit. So while their games with the rest of us timed out on 17 Sep, the one between them is just an abandoned game that won't go away.

In the long run, these unplayed games are going to clutter the list of ongoing tournaments. It's also annoying to enter a tournament and for it never to come to a final result.

There ought to be a better way to deal with this. I've noticed that when my opponent forfeits a game, the timer starts again from 10 days, but I haven't found out what happens if I let it lapse. How about making it so that, if such a game is part of a tournament, it's scored as a loss for both players?

Maybe somebody has a better idea....
