Feature Deficiencies on the 'New Caissa'
..Considering that Caissa's Web 'parent' company is in the
computer-server rental and service business {at least as I
understand it}.. the delay that is plagueing{sp?} your new
Web site, Re. the ability to follow a game listed under
"Results," without having to resort to a roundabout method
of apparently linking-up to another game-following friendly
feature on the Web, plus the deficiencies your New site
still has in following a "live game"; not to mention that your
concept of what constitutes "live-games" is Really Skewered{!}
.. plus the fact that you haven't indicated any future plans to
obtain the apparently already existent software, so as to make
the Caissia computer, reasonably competent at Both forms of the
chess you offer, reminds me of the axiom, "Actions Speak Louder
Than Words"{!}
..If I'm sounding overly-critical, keep in mind that you're not only
in competition with other game Web sites, but also the whole spec-
trum of other "spare-time diversions"; ie. reading a book, going for
a "nature walk," etc. etc.

Re: Feature Deficiencies on the 'New Caissa'
The next updates will be to the corr games area, then probably the live games area. Hopefully some of the features you describe will be implemented at that time.

Re: Feature Deficiencies on the 'New Caissa'
I've been a Caissa member for 10 years and have had a few problems with it in the past, but the site has remained my favorite online destination. So long as the old Caissa remains available, I'm willing to wait for the new Caissa site to get its act together.

Gammaburst has a legitimate beef, though a minor one. There are many other aspects of the old Caissa that I hope will be implemented in the new.

For example: I'm usually here only to make a correspondence move. I make a move, get up from the computer and come back 4-5 minutes later to see if there has been a response. But because there is no way to take myself off the list of "available for a live game" once I'm logged on, other members challenge me to live game and get no response. Or, if I see the challenge I have to explain that I'm not here for a live game. (I've had to decline two challenges just while writing this message.)

Brian, best of luck with this.
