I have written threads which highlight my utter confusion about the opening. It goes something like this. Controlling the center is the way to get to anyplace else on the board. But I easily screw this maxim by wondering, "How do I know when I want to go to another place on the board"," When do I know I want to go to another place on the board","What the heck am I supposed to do at another place on the board once I get there?"," Are there some places on the board that are choice locations, once you have controled the center?". I am so confused even when I win there is a shallow haunting that I muddled my way through the game, sort of like faking it, but faking it really well, perhaps from so many games played. And not realizing I have to control the center in a certain way, i HAVE A RATHER NICE WIN, from a very strong opponent using the owens opening. I think there is at least one player who thinks my plight is hilarious, (RAPTOR), and thats OK, because more people need to laugh, and because I had a good laugh too, (AT MYSELF).

{comment: It's possible NightClub; That {no offense}; You First need to Re-prioritize what you presently consider, are the most important things in Life!? ..I would think that ones fortunes in online chess; Or even understanding, the 'whys and wherefores' of winning & losing, that sometimes-to-often, {in your case}, seem to vex you; Are Way-way, Down the 'list'; Of what God wants U to be fixated on!
- Have you considered, teaching chess, to young kids in your area; Who are 'starved' for attention?; And-or, would greatly appreciate, having an adult, who pays attention to them?; Even if it's in a chess-teaching and learning context?!}. --

You're quite right, DOORMAN. I obviously need to re-program my mind, to reflect more on the various 'whys-and-wherefores' of why I lose as much as I do, @ online chess; And even the damnable 'fuzzy' logic, of chess itself!; To be tempered with posting the 'ID' number, of a game I won; That I thought others might enjoy.

If it's any consolation, to anyone I {inadvertently} offended; Arguably, around 85-to-97% of humanity; Would ideally need to re-order, or to a lesser degree, re-adjust.. their life's priorities, and-or 'line'-of-thinking. Including, All 'JW's, Mormons, and devout Catholics and 7th-Day Adventists; None of which, I belong to. --
