Caissa site updates
Hi all,
 
Just wanted to let everyone know that the Caissa site is still maintained on a daily basis. The site could not be up and running 24/7 without the admins checking on it every day. Unfortunately, time constraints prevent us from answering emails and posting regularly. We try to look out for any major issues that may require our immediate attention.
 
The technology used with Caissa is getting older and we do not have any near term plans for updates. As many of you have discovered playing live games, there are sometimes issues with the Java technology, mostly with security issues that require the Java platform to be constantly changed and updated by its owner, Oracle. Sometimes this effects the operations of the live games. As far as we know, the Correspondence Games work reliably for most members.

Thanks, for the 'info' Brian. Not having had, a {real life} 'sister'; It's been awhile, since I last imagined myself 'kissing' one; Or for that matter; Experiencing, a similar 'aftertaste' emotion!
 
Yet, as we All must know; Life, is composed of Many choices; Including the realization that, other 'online' chess opportunities aside; There are even vastly more ways, of constructively 'passing-ones-time' than 'games'; No matter, how noble!
 
And being a person, of multiple interests; I submit the following 'link'.. as merely one example. In my own 'little world'..{of which we All 'lay claim' to a specific 'One'}; Articles, such as the following {lead-in}; Enable the average person, to have a perspective, that isn't so 'systemic- {The 'Big I'}, confining'! --

So the Admins have basically just handed the ball over to a user?
 
Now don't get me wrong, I like Wiz and have played (lost) against him for years. But this still stinks of a company deciding not to do anything about an existing problem.

Caissa has pissed on my last nerve. They will NOT be receiving any more of my money. After 20 years, I will be playing at gameknot.com I encourage all of you to join me over there.
 
If caissa cannot be bothered to communicate with me, I cannot be bothered to pay for service that I am not receiving.
 
It is time for this site to go dark. I hope to see you at gameknot.com

I have not checked this Board for a while as I have been pondering my response to Admin Brian's post. I don't quite understand just how I can help Members with problems, as I have no more information nor powers here than any other Member. Nevertheless, I will do whatever I can.

Can you tell me why the iphone app is no longer available at the app store? Is there any other way to get it or is that just it for iphone chess with caissa?

I wish I could help, Apracs, but, as I have stated, I don't know any more about these issues than any other Caissa Member. I suggest that, if you can'tget a response from the Adminstraion by post, that you try calling Media West about the problem. I can give you the telephone number where I was able to reach Media West: 713-223-9378

Direct Bullshit from the admin. I have been slamming this board for months now since they pissed me off without even a single message or removed post from the admin. I tried really hard to get their attention and found out that it was impossible to do.
 
Are you really going to pay good money for zero support? If so, please contact me for my mailing address, I will be happy to ignore your concerns for $30 a year.
