If you put yourself on the Corr Waiting List and choose "Stay on list" I think you will not have a problem getting Corr Games. Otherwise, we are currently working on a couple of initiatives in this area. Specific to the correspondence games, we will be implementing an "Invite a friend" option which will allow you to challenge anyone with an email address to a Corr Game, not just another Caissa member. Additionally we are working on Corr Game integration with the Facebook website, which could greatly increase the number of potential users. We won't know the exact response until we turn it on, which should be within the next few weeks. Beyond that we are working on several projects--like the new home page design--to increase the total volume of Caissa members, which will increase potential Corr opponents. |

A partial, "off-the-wall" suggestion; both locate & contact a "financial angel," {who also likes chess}; billionare and original "Microsoft" co-founder, Paul Allen, comes to mind; though given the {big} Egos of most {or all} billionaires; as even "Allen" owns the second biggest yacht in the world, {as I recall} with its own "heli-pad"{!}... I suspect, that they would sooner put their 'moocho' {phonetic} dollars, where it would give them the most publicity; ie. golf, or tennis sponsorship, long considered, before chess; and 'O.T.B.' {over-the-board}, "one-session," G.M. matches or championships, in favor of your beloved, 'C.C.' tourneys! .. Ergo, I've just described the 'whys & wherefores,' of why it 'aint likely,' to ever happen; even if you were to come up with some "entry-fee," financial sponsor, "matching-fund" arrangement. Ps. Hey! {again}, How's This!? .. Offer, Paul Allen, or whomever; a "free- entry" into your 'C.C.' tourney; in return for, let's say.. a minimum, $75,000 'contribution/sponsorship,' on their part! .. |
